Presentation Evening

Snitterfield Junior Football Club held their annual Presentation Evening at Snitterfield Sports club to celebrate achievements and to recognise the efforts made throughout the season. With over 200 people attending, the event was held over two sittings to allow players and families from the clubs six teams enjoy the evening.

Chairman, Sean Reaper presided over proceedings and was delighted to report that the club continues to go from strength to strength and had enjoyed another successful year. Off the pitch they passed their annual FA Charter Standard health check. On the pitch they had five teams reach cup semi finals, with the Under 13 Colts going on to reach the League Cup final.

Awards were handed out by the respective team mangers to all players to recognise their hard work over the season. Individual awards were also presented for Team Player of the Year, Top Goalscorer, Managers Players of the Year and Players Player of the Year. This season saw Alfie Reaper become the youngest ever Snitterfield player to score 100 goals and he was awarded a glass trophy to celebrate the achievement.

The football clubs hard working committee was praised for their dedication and retiring grounds man Phil Allen was also thanked for his efforts over the years.

The evening also saw the end of an era for the club’s under 16 team as this was their last season at Snitterfield. Mark and Belinda Saunders have been involved with the football club and this team for over six years and received thank you gifts, as did son, Luke Saunders who is the only remaining player from the original line up that was first set up back in 2005.
